BUDGEWOI (pronouced Budgee woi) that is currently where we are at !
A lovely caravan park, on reduced rates, situated on the edge of Lake Munmorah on one side and a Pacific Ocean beach on the other side, providing varied fishing, boating in our little inflatable and some great walks to explore.
Since last I posted to the blog, I have been in Hobart to catch up with family and see how the house was going (very well in fact) The weather crashed while I was there and it was good to get back to New South Wales (slightly warmer, somewhere between 8 and 19 degrees) John spent his time between his sisters homes.
Linking up with sister Christine and her husband John we travelled from Gosford to Bateau Bay for 2 nights, great surfing beach and whilst the boys surf fished – no fish allowed themselves to be caught !
From there we sallied forth through Lakes Entrance Budgewoi Caravan Park and have spent the last 5 nights here enjoying each other’s company and various occupations. Chris and John will be returned south last Wednesday and John and I stayed on for another 7 days in this very idyllic spot.
We have tried some beach fishing to no avail and shopped at Tuggerah Lakes, Valerie came for a day trip with John and Chris last Thursday, we had a barbeque in the camp kitchen and celebrated my birthday too which was lovely ! Otherwise we have just veged out in this sunny climate with our beautiful friends the rainbow lorikeet which now eat bread from our hands.
We are leaving tomorrow on our gradual trip North aiming for somewhere in the vicinity of Raymond Terrace, northwest of Newcastle.
